          Walkathon &

          Family Fun Day

         November 16, 2008

Join us for a fun-filled morning of activities and community spirit while making a difference in the life of a child diagnosed with a life threatening illness. Participate in our walkathon and release a butterfly in the park as a symbol of hope or in honor/memory of a loved one. Parents and children of all ages will enjoy the activities.

 

Walkathon:  Walkers of all ages will follow a meandering course of approximately one mile throughout scenic North Community Park.  At several points throughout the walk, walkers will be given physical and/or mental challenges to complete before continuing. Moms or Dads who want to walk the course with their children (and/or a baby stroller or jogger) are welcome. Just remember to register your little ones along with yourself.  Check-in time on the day of the event begins at 9:30 am.

 

Family Fun Day:  There will be a variety of activities for the children before and after the walk.   

 

Butterfly Release:  Prior to the start of the walk, those who register for the Butterfly Release will be given a butterfly to release in the park as a symbol of hope or in honor/memory of a loved one.  Butterfly registrants may pick up their butterfly at the check-in desk before the release ceremony at 10:00 am.

 

Raffle:  Before and after the walk there will be a variety of wonderful items available to bid on in our raffle and silent auction.

Please consider making a direct donation.  Spencer Crawford Children’s Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization that provides all of its services free of charge to our children and families.  We rely solely on pubic, private and corporate donations to fund our programs.
